Why does Digg think I am not logged in?

(Click the image to make it bigger)

Every once in a while I try to digg a story, and it says I am not logged in, and I need to log in to digg the story. I have just been going along reading stories and digging them and I randomly get logged out. As you can see on the picture, I am still logged in but it says I am not logged in (the pop up), so then I have to log out and log back in, just to digg a silly story. My cookies are enabled, and Digg remembers me when I come back, so I don't know what the deal is.

That's very annoying isn't it? It happens to me all the time.

When it happens, I usually hit refresh, and then when the page reloads it no longer shows me as logged in. Then I can log in and continue as normal

So it seems like some time between when I first loaded the page and the ajax request when I dugg something that my session got invalidated on the server.

I wonder if it is some sort of load balancing issue, because it seems really random it can happen a couple of times in a row right away or not happen for a while.
